Goldhawk.com adds 2,600 ACTA travel agencies to Canada’s fast-growing consumer website
Wednesday, July 25, 2007
The new consumer web site, Goldhawk.com, is adding 2,600 members of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies to its directories of service suppliers chosen for their trustworthiness. Goldhawk.com was officially launched in February and already lists many of the country’s most reliable home renovation and home building contractors, insurers, realtors, and wedding planners. Full travel agency listings will appear on the site in August.

We are delighted to list ACTA members across the country who are honest, capable providers of services for the traveling public, said Dale Goldhawk, founder, CEO and President of Goldhawk.com.

We are pleased to be associated with Goldhawk because his brand stands for integrity in the marketplace, says ACTA President and CEO Christiane Theberge. “Our agencies along with their professional travel counsellors have the expertise to design the best travel experiences for all customers and to provide the highest level of protection for vacationers, mobile business people and other consumers on the move.”

Goldhawk is one of Canada`s best known consumer protection advocates. He chased bad guys across Canada for almost 40 years before using the Internet to bring good guys to public attention.

“We ensure all our members deserve the trust of the consumer,” says Goldhawk. Members of the site must show they are credit-worthy, insured, certified or otherwise competent, experienced, reliable and compliant with regulations before they are listed in Goldhawk directories.

In addition to listing ACTA agencies by name and location, Goldhawk.com enables consumers to submit travel plans or even rough ideas directly to Goldhawk Qualified, ACTA member agencies across the country. Travel consultants who participate in this Goldhawk program may contact consumers with competitive information and quotes so consumers can choose an agency capable of providing high levels of service and affordable prices.

ACTA member consultants will work with consumers from scratch, according to Goldhawk, to design vacations even when the traveler has no idea of a destination or means of travel. ‘Experienced consultants can create ideal vacations from no more than the parents’ wish to go somewhere warm with two easily-bored teenagers’, says ACTA CEO Christiane Theberge.

Goldhawk.com’s directories now include thousands of qualified suppliers of services and listings are added daily.
Dale Goldhawk is also a broadcaster with his Goldhawk Fights Back program on radio, a political show and a Toronto talk show on television. He also writes several magazine columns, in Real Estate News and The Canadian Immigrant, discussing the Canadian marketplace and introducing reputable suppliers to consumers.

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
