Silverjet partnership expands SideStep luxury travel search
Wednesday, August 01, 2007
SideStep entered into partnership with the exclusively business class British airline Silverjet. According to the internet travel search company, SideStep customers wanting to fly from London Luton to New York or vice versa will now be given the option of a private jet experience on an all-business-class airline, alongside other flight options including mainstream carriers and budget airlines.

The partnership expands SideStep’s luxury travel search offering. SideStep already partners with US company PrivateJetSpecialist.com to provide a further range of travel options for those looking for a top quality travel experience.

At SideStep, our aim is to help our customers find the right deal to suit their needs and that doesn’t always just mean the cheapest. Partnering with a market leader like Silverjet allows us to offer our customers additional choice at the more premium end of the market, said Rhys Jarvis, European Business Development Director, SideStep.

Tamarah Khatib, Head of Global Online Marketing for Silverjet, comments: Like us, SideStep’s priority is providing its customers with a quality, hassle-free service. With more than six million UK and US consumers using SideStep each month, this partnership will allow even more people to enjoy all the benefits of our award winning exclusively business class service at the very competitive price.

Poll
The imminent privatization of Olympic Airlines is expected to change the fate of this debt-laden airline. What do you think the new owner should do in regard to the brand name of the Greek national flag carrier?.

Keep “Olympic Airlines” as the name of the company as it remains a strong brand.

The company should keep “Olympic” as an element of its name but refresh the brand (e.g. “New Olympic Airlines”).

The airline should drop “Olympic” from its name. This brand has lost its value and isn’t relevant to the market anymore.
