Low cost airline Jet2.com launched its summer ‘08 season and increased service to Malaga and Barcelona from its base at Belfast International Airport. The airline, which currently offers 14 routes from its rapidly expanding Northern Irish base, has released seats on six of its most popular destinations to mainland Europe, the Balearics and Canary Island destinations for 2008.
In addition, Jet2.com also announced that it was increasing frequency on its Belfast-Barcelona route this winter, with an extra flight on Tuesdays connecting Northern Ireland with the ever-popular cultural capital, famous for its football team, the Olympic Park or the bustling Las Ramblas.
Jet2.com have also made flying to Malaga from Belfast a year round service with 2 flights going to the Spanish city all year round.
Steve Lee, Commercial Director, Jet2.com, said: “We’re delighted to release flights to Northern Ireland’s favourite summer destinations for 2008. Even though this summer has not provided the hottest or driest weather in the UK, we’re hoping to bring a well-needed guarantee of sun for next year. Our additional flights to Barcelona and Malaga also testify to how popular these routes are and coupled with our summer 08 season, we want to underline our commitment to providing the best possible services as the lowest possible fares for the people of Northern Ireland.”
