Travel tech systems supplier brings new product for agents

Athena – a complete end-to-end desktop tool enabling agents to access reservations, back-office accounting and customer relationship management tools all from a single platform has been laucnhed by travel technology specialist Vertical Group.

Athena brings together Vertical Group’s existing technologies including Magic Professional and TARSC, with a newly enhanced Customer Centric facility. Acocridng to the company, this technology allows agents to create and store quotes which can be emailed within a PDF file to customers. Customer Centric also allows users to store customer profiles, preferences, trip histories and run enquiries to booking conversion reports.

Vertical Group Founder and CEO, Peter Healey, said: “We are delighted to be releasing our Athena product which gives agents and operators a greater ability to understand their customers and capitalise on personal relationships. Athena is the culmination of a great deal of investment and man-hours which we believe will enhance loyalty with customers through the added efficiency and functionality the integration of these three technologies provide.”

Athena has been implemented by United Co-op Travel Group as well as homeworkers and agents within Future Travel and the Freedom Travel Agents’ Consortium.
