HFTP unveils plans for second annual conference in Caribbean
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
Continuing the professional education opportunities in the Caribbean, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) has revealed that the Second Annual Caribbean Finance and Technology Professionals Conference will take place December 10-11, 2007 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The conference, produced by HFTP and sponsored by Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA), will focus on the most recent topics of interest in the finance and technology fields. Registration will be available online soon.

“The hospitality industry has a large presence in the Caribbean,” said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. “In the global expansion of HFTP, it is important that we offer regional conferences like the Caribbean Finance and Technology Professionals Conference so that relevant topics for the area are discussed among financial and technology professionals in the hospitality industry.”

HFTP will use its resources to design an agenda that aligns with the interests of Caribbean hospitality industry professionals. The education program will include topics such as finance practices and shortcuts to success, disaster recovery and planning, technology tips for the executive team, currency conversion and other banking challenges and more. The conference will also feature tabletop and excellent networking opportunities.

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
