More speakers sign up for European Golf Conference in Amsterdam

Two more speakers have confirmed they will fly in from the USA for November’s European Golf Business Conference in Amsterdam. Mike Tinkey, the deputy chief executive officer of the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA), will advise on pricing strategies with a view to future survival.

The professor of turf science at North Carolina State University, Charles Peacock, will be imparting hisknowledge of the importance of sustainability of the golf business.

In addition, Mark Adam, a former president of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) will look into the future of the sport.

The European Golf Business Conference will be hosted by the European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA), at the five-star Renaissance Hotel from November 28-30.

Specialists from across the world will offer their thoughts and insight on the development of golf across nine sessions. The conference is aimed at golf course owners, managers, directors of golf, suppliers, representatives of professional bodies, suppliers, golf course architects and industry partners.

Lodewijk Klootwijk, a director of the EGCOA, said: “We have been greatly heartened by the amount of support we have had from the industry in terms of sponsors for the event. The calibre of speakers and sponsors reinforce the stature of the conference which we believe will become an established fixture in the industry calendar.”
