Vacation.com signs alliance with Virgin Atlantic
Thursday, September 20, 2007
Vacation.com has added Virgin Atlantic Airways as a new preferred supplier, enhancing member benefits with an agreement that provides upfront at source commissions on qualifying tickets sold in the U.S.
“We are delighted to be working with a global air partner who recognizes the value of travel agents and in particular members of Vacation.com. Paying at source commissions along with the recognized quality of their product will drive our membership to offer and sell Virgin Atlantic whenever possible,” said Steve Tracas, president and CEO, Vacation.com.

“We will communicate aggressively with our membership to take advantage of this newest Vacation.com partnership,” he added.

Virgin Atlantic Airways serves every continent except South America from ten U.S. gateway cities, and offers three classes of travel - Upper Class, Premium Economy and Economy.

“The addition of Virgin Atlantic Airways to our list of quality preferred suppliers demonstrates our commitment to providing our member agents with more opportunities to increase their earning power,” said Stephen McGillivray, vice president Marketing, Vacation.com. “This year we have added Marriott and Starwood as preferred hotels, several strategic tour operators and now a global airline, all of which support our continuing effort of making money for our members,” he added.
