Monday, October 01, 2007
The launch of Gold Card Destinations, a new collection of travel benefits available on all consumer American Express Gold Charge Cards, including Gold and Rewards Plus Gold Cards has been announced by American Express. According to AMEX, Gold Card Destinations enables Card members to enhance their vacation experiences on virtually any trip from American Express Gold Card Destinations travel partners.

In addition, through Gold Card Destinations, Card members have access to exclusive, unique travel and entertainment packages updated each month on the dedicated Gold Card Destinations web site.

“As a leading travel company, we continually look for opportunities to add unique and valuable travel benefits and services on our Cards that cater to our Card members’ passion for travel,” said Christopher Fred, vice president, Gold Card, American Express. “Gold Card Destinations is a wonderful addition to the many benefits that come with consumer American Express Gold Charge Cards -- providing yet another reason to carry the Card.”

How will the currently developing financial crisis and oil prices rally affect the tourism industry?.

they will have temporary and minimal effect and the situation will stabilize in a year or two

we should be looking at a restructuring in the international tourism movements and trends

it is still too early to access the impact on world tourism, medium or long term

we will see more tourism closer to home, and less international travel
