ARC teams with Neat Group to deliver merchant model to travel agencies
Monday, June 03, 2002

ARC  is expanding its relationship with non-air suppliers with the addition of the Neat Group into  ARC's settlement plan. ARC accredited agents are now able to use NeatAgent to customize and price travel packages that include air, hospitality, and car-rental products, and have their agent-defined mark-up and/or service fee settled through ARC.

“ARC must be a driving force to help identify and make available new tools that will help travel professionals compete and thrive in today's increasingly demanding market,” says ARC's president and CEO, David Collins. “NeatAgent puts essential pricing ability in the hands of the travel agent while ARC's familiar settlement system enables revenues to be realized timely and reliably,” he adds.

“Working with ARC is a great solution for NeatAgent subscribers,” says Jeff Jacobsen, Neat Group's Vice President of Finance. “Travel agents can apply merchant model pricing to travel sales, while continuing to benefit from the security and confidence of the ARC settlement system.”

Since the mid-1980's, ARC has looked to expand its services beyond the core scheduled airline industry. Rail access available through the customary ticketing and settlement systems was soon supplemented with destination products and other services that are currently available through TravelBuyARC. Now ARC is able to lend essential value by linking its accredited travel agent network to external products through ARC's time-proven settlement system.
