He will also moderate the
'Effective Golf Course Management: Creating the Most Value for Owners and
Investors in Europe' panel on Saturday.
Golf business is people
business, says Falk. You need to know the market and to keep the golfing customer satisfied in order to make your golf course profitable. The 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference
& Exhibition in Athens is THE meeting place decision-makers in the European golf industry cannot afford to miss.
'Key Factors For Successful Golf Course Business'
A brief outline of Falk's speech
Some golf courses are most profitable, others are far from making any money at all. Studies say, and reality proves, that a high percentage of European golf courses are in financial trouble. Several golf course operations went bankrupt during the past years or were subject to takeovers.
In his speech,
Falk will closely examine the key factors determining the business success of all golf courses:
1.
Location (accessibility, site, catchment area, competition, etc.)
2. Product (philosophy, design, construction standards, maintenance, etc.)
3. Management (owner, operator, finance, business administration, marketing,
etc.)
