Mr. Oktay Varlier, Chairman, Turkish Tourism Investors Association, to deliver presentation at the 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference
Wednesday, June 18, 2003

September 24th, 2003 -- Mr. Oktay
Varlier, Chairman, Turkish Tourism Investors
Association (TYD),

will deliver a presentation titled 'Prospects for Turkish Tourism in the
Near Future' to a distinguished audience at the 2003
European GOLF
Investment and Real Estate Conference & Exhibition
in Athens on
November 29th, 2003.

Turkish
parliament recently passed a new law for the purpose of encouraging large
tourism infrastructure investments, among them golf being the primary area
of interest.

Mr.
Varlier will attempt to draw attention on the untouched opportunities in
Turkey in view of this -- legally and economically -- very positive
environment.

Commenting
on this important pan-European industry event, Oktay says:
In recent years, as golf courses with international standards have been put into use,
Turkey is on the way of becoming a renown golf centre where players from around the world can meet in an environment full of
cultural, historical and natural beauties. This conference in Athens is
organised in such a time that exactly matches the new wave of investments which we expect to start, while new laws and regulations put into force in Turkey, which envisage so-called
'new tourism cities' around the coastal regions, i.e. very large pieces of land with all infrastructure completed, will be allocated to tourism investors who will
build necessary facilities including golf courses and integrated leisure resorts. From our side, there couldn't be
a better time."

About the TYD

The Turkish Tourism Investors Association
(TYD)
was established in 1988 by the principal tourism investors in Turkey.

TYD is an independent
organisation whose main objective is to bring together specified people and companies investing in Turkey and provide assistance in their present and future plans. The Association sees investment in tourism as the power behind the development process of the sector and believes that it has a role in the expansion and orientation of the Turkish tourism.

TYD presently has over 180 members representing over 200,000 beds in the accommodation sector in which TYD represents the
up-market. The establishments furnished with these beds are mostly 5- and 4-star hotels and
first-class holiday villages.

TYD members have also invested in marinas and yachting, tourism oriented land and air transport, tour operating,
tourist shopping centres, entertainment and recreation facilities and golf courses. The total investment portfolio is around
USD 17 billion.

Besides, TYD members offer services in the tourism sector, such as turn-key project contracting, tourism related equipment and material production and representation. So far TYD members have completed construction of
tourist facilities on turn-key basis as contractor or investor in various countries.

One of the TYD’s activities is to
realise partnership possibilities for foreign entrepreneurs who are interested in tourism investment and management in Turkey or in third countries. In this context, international cooperation is vital for TYD that is considered as a reference institution.
Internationally, the TYD is a Business Council Member of the World Tourism
Organisation (WTO).
