TravelDailyNews: How does Athenaeum Intercontinental utilize technological applications for increasing its employee productivity?

Stavros Vogiatzis: Athenaeum Intercontinental utilizes in the maximum the technology by providing all of its departments with the related software. This allows both to employees and the management team to operate and take decisions based on exact data.

TDN: How do the technological applications affect your clients and especially in the MICE sector?

S. V.: The results are immediate as today the European and American PCOs but also the Greek PCOs pay great attention to organize an event with accuracy by minimizing the communication gaps between negotiators, in other words all those people who are energetically involved in organizing conferences from the undertaking to the completion.

TDN: How did MeetingMatrix help in your communication with the clients?

S. V.: MeetingMatrix has enhanced the way we organize a conference for the following reasons:

It gives precise picture of the hall in 1/100 scale. The client has real picture of the place which provides to him safety and confidence for the final outcome and this is something that Europeans, Americans and Asians demand to have today due to the culture of their activities.

TDN: After MeetingMatrix installation what improvements have you witnessed in your operation and sales?

S. V.: From the very beginning of MeetingMatrix installation the sales department and the operational divisions of the hotel have significantly improved by having precise pictures of the place (certified diagrams) which provide harmonic communication with all the external partners / customers.

TDN: Are you satisfied by MeetingMatrix application? Do you believe that it enhances the general IT project of your hotel?

S. V.: Athenaeum Intercontinental constantly enhances and utilizes IT applications and MeetingMatrix is a strong proof of our commitment as it gave a concrete advantage to the hotel in relation to our competitors in Athens as far as the conference part is concerned.

TDN: Do you consider that MeetingMatrix has improved the image of Athenaeum Intercontinental as a complete technologically hotel which is capable to fully respond to the today needs of its clients?

S. V.: It has certainly improved the image of the hotel by enhancing directly our interaction worldwide and this makes us particularly competitive.

We have to realize that the compatible tools (ruler, dividers, stamps) are not enough today for organizing big conferences and international meetings in Greece.

Moreover, the big benefit of the investment is obvious if we compare the cost for MeetingMatrix implementation and its efficiency.
