Monday, November 19, 2007
The second edition of the Gulf Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (GIBTM) taking place from 8-10 April 2008 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company Centre (ADNEC), will see the participation of some of the most important names in hospitality.

Major international hotel groups have signed up to participate at GIBTM 2008. Rotana Hotels join Jumeirah, Anantara Resorts and Spas, Kempinski Hotels, Leading Hotels of the World and Starwood Hotels and Resorts, as confirmed exhibitors for GIBTM 2008.

Mr. Selim El Zyr, President & CEO of Rotana Hotels said: “We are very pleased with Abu Dhabi hosting an important exhibition such as GIBTM, which will hugely assist in developing the MICE tourism. We have always been very active with the promotion of our MICE properties all over the Middle East through our local and International sales offices in London, Frankfurt and India and our participation at GIBTM will assist us in further developing this sector and in the showcasing our products and offerings”.

Graeme Barnett, Event Director said: “The inaugural GIBTM set the pace for the industry in the region last year and we are delighted to have major hotels groups already confirmed. We aim to provide a rich and diverse exhibitor representation to provide the best business platform for Hosted Buyers and visitors. Early indications for this year’s show floor are very positive with more exhibitors and new features such as the European Pavilion as well as the Technology and Event Services village @ GIBTM. ”

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
