Jet2holidays.com launches holidays to Sardinia
Wednesday, December 05, 2007
Jet2holidays.com has diversified its portfolio of Mediterranean holiday destinations by adding exclusive Sardinia to the list. The company has highlighted its intention to offer holidays at the lowest prices to some of the better-kept secrets of the Mediterranean today with flights to Sardinia from Leeds Bradford Airport to Olbia, gateway to the island’s ‘Emerald Coast’ and exclusive resorts of Golfo Aranci and Porto Cervo.

Mandy Round, General Manager, Jet2holidays.com, said: “The launch of holidays to the ever-chic Italian island, Sardinia, sends a clear message to all our customers; We are committed to diversifying our portfolio of holiday destinations to some of the more exclusive corners of the Mediterranean and not just the old favourites across Spain and the Balearics.”

“Using low cost flights to Olbia from Leeds Bradford, we are offering our holiday makers the option of direct flights from their local airport into the very heart of the Costa Smerelda – or Emerald Coast – so-called because of the fantastic colours of limpid waters that lap the white sand beaches.”

“Sardinia is as close to paradise as you will find anywhere in Europe and with our prices, holidaymakers will be able to enjoy splashing out in the islands’ fantastic trattorie and sophisticated beach-side bars a little bit more. Whilst the island has a reputation for exclusivity, our desire is to make the Sardinia more accessible to holiday makers across Yorkshire and beyond so more people can enjoy this fantastic destination using our low prices.”

Poll
How will the currently developing financial crisis and oil prices rally affect the tourism industry?.

they will have temporary and minimal effect and the situation will stabilize in a year or two

we should be looking at a restructuring in the international tourism movements and trends

it is still too early to access the impact on world tourism, medium or long term

we will see more tourism closer to home, and less international travel
