Vacation.com signs exclusive partnership with Hertz
Thursday, January 10, 2008
Vacation.com has entered into an exclusive global partnership with The Hertz Corporation, ending its preferred supplier relationships with all other car rental companies worldwide, effective immediately. The exclusive preferred supplier agreement between Vacation.com and Hertz will allow for a greater market share shift by members in exchange for agency incentives, greater discounts, special coupons and exclusive quarterly promotions that will only be available to Vacation.com members as the company supports.

“This new exclusive alliance gives our members a clear competitive advantage,” noted Steve Tracas, president and CEO, Vacation.com. “By focusing our members’ sales efforts on one quality car rental company, we are opening the door to a new level of benefits. This positions Hertz as the gold standard of our key partnerships,” said Tracas.

As part of the exclusive partnership, Vacation.com members will offer clients savings of up to 20% on Hertz rentals, plus a variety of additional values tailored to the needs of their customer. Deeper discounts, special features such as SIRIUS Satellite Radio or Hertz NeverLost navigation system, and special Fun Collection values are but some of the enhanced features. “Special values for both leisure renters and business customers has elevated our relationship with our preferred car partner, Hertz, to a new level based on this exclusive arrangement,” notes Tracas.

“Hertz has been committed to the Vacation.com membership since its inception in 1999 and we are delighted to start a new chapter in 2008 as their Exclusive Car Rental Partner,” said Pamela Wright, CTC, Hertz division vice president, Travel Industry & Partnership Sales.

“Our enhanced relationship with Vacation.com allows for a consistent message regarding the products, services and premium offers that make Hertz an outstanding value in car rental, along with significant agency benefits for Vacation.com members,” added Wright. “Whether leisure or business, on or off-airport, Hertz delivers a superior experience and we are thrilled Vacation.com has chosen Hertz as the preferred supplier to service their membership’s car rental needs.”
