ICCA brings meetings seminar on UK outbound market at Confex
Thursday, January 10, 2008
ICCA will be present at International Confex (12-14 February 2008) and will be holding for the first time at this event an ICCA Corporate Meetings Seminar on the UK Outbound Market taking place one day prior to the exhibition on the afternoon of Monday 11 February.

The half day seminar will be open to ICCA members primarily from outside the UK who are interested in outbound UK corporate meetings, who are exhibiting or visiting the show.

The experienced panel will cover a programme designed to enhance ICCA members effectiveness at the show: structure and scale of the UK outbound corporate market, including the highly complex agency environment; key decision-influencing factors plus trends and predictions; advice on cost-effectively penetrating the market and communicating with planners.

Panel:

Martin Sirk, ICCA's CEO said: "John Keenan and Julie Watterston are extremely experienced ICCA members who are delighted to share their insider knowledge with their colleagues, whilst Graham Keene recently spoke at our annual Congress on this topic and generated fantastic feedback. We believe this seminar will give our members attending International Confex an invaluable understanding of this uniquely complex marketplace as well as a host of pragmatic sales and marketing ideas."

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
