youtravel.com enters 2008 with new sales record
Thursday, January 17, 2008
EXCLUSIVE - A new sales record was registered in the online resort reservation market by youtravel.com, as the company has already secured more than 30,000 reservations for the upcoming summer period and thus keeping its successful sales pace from 2007.

The company is witnessing a tremendous growth as Mr. John Kent, CEO of youtravel.com exclusively said to TravelDailyNews International. “We are 600% up compared to the same period last year, already exceeding our target for the company’s second year of operation,” added Mr. Kent.

“We see the efforts we started last year to bear fruits in 2008 as we experience tremendous recognition from our clients especially in the B2B part. Moreover, it is extremely important that we constantly improve in all these sectors we were less strong in 2007.”

It is worth mentioning that the market is also witnessing huge growth for the 2008 summer season as Mr. Kent assured us. “There is no decline in any country that we work with,” said Mr. Kent.

“There is already strong demand from the very first days of 2008 for the markets of Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Spain, which is the number one market for youtravel.com,” concluded Mr. Kent.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
