Brussels Airport and Brussels Airlines again share a stand at the Holiday Fair
Wednesday, February 06, 2008
Brussels Airport and Brussels Airlines are again joining hands for the Holiday Fair that takes place from 7 till 11 February at Brussels Expo. The two strongest players in the Belgian aviation market will welcome tomorrow’s traveller to their common stand. This year, the focus will be on the large offer of low-fare destinations from Brussels Airport and the attractive prices in the airport shops.

During the winter season, the low-cost carriers and the traditional airlines at Brussels Airport together offer direct low-fare flights to 88 destinations for an all-in fare of less than 100 euros. Brussels Airport thus serves three times as many destinations in the low-fare segment than all of the other Belgian airports combined. The largest market share in this segment is held by Brussels Airlines with its successful b-light product.

The stand at the Holiday Fair will also spotlight the Lowest Price Guaranteed campaign.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
