Online and dynamic packaging technology specialist GoQuo has extended its family of travel solutions with the launch of GQTours - and within days of unveiling the solution at the 2008 Travel Technology Show, had secured its first order.
According to the company, GQTours is designed specifically to help tour operators offer more choice and enhanced service to customers.
According to GoQuo founder and managing director Ron Ramanan, tour operators are ideally placed to benefit from technology that helps them better meet the expectations of today’s demanding travellers.
He said: “GQTours overcomes a lot of the complexity that can be found in tour operator systems. We’ve particularly looked at creating a system for managing the complex inventories that most tour operators need to have today.”
First Customer
Ramanan reports that the first GQTours customer secured within days of launch is a London-based travel agency with three operating brands that focus on niche markets such as Indian Ocean, Far Eastern and African destinations, flights and accommodation.
The agency, which already uses a number of GoQuo’s solutions, is developing its own tour operation service, and will use GQTours to help customers choose and package different travel products into their overall requirements.
