Travelport GDS has announced the appointment of Mr Hans Ebeling as Regional Director, Global Accounts & Strategic Corporate Development for the Asia region, effective 1 March 2008. Mr Ebeling will be responsible for multinational and corporate agency accounts, managing and growing the existing business, strengthening agency partner relationships and developing new opportunities across Asia.

Mr Ebeling has held a number of senior positions within the company prior to this new appointment.  In his last role, he was Country Manager for Galileo by Travelport, Hong Kong. He has also worked with the Asian National Distribution Companies (NDCs) who distribute the Galileo by Travelport products, as well as a variety of management roles with Galileo International at their UK head office.

Mr Ebeling will continue to be based in Hong Kong, Travelport GDS’s regional office for Asia. His previous role as Country Manager, Hong Kong has been filled by Mr Lawrence Liew, previous Country Manager Malaysia.
