iBAHN partners with top hotels in Asia-Pacific
Thursday, February 28, 2008

iBAHN, provider of digital convergence solutions for hoteliers, has announced the successful initiation of digital convergence service solutions in key hotels across the Asia-Pacific region. The company made its announcement at the 2008 International Hotel Technology Forum at the Shangri-La’s La Rasa Sentosa Resort in Singapore. iBAHN was a proud sponsor for the first-ever IHTF in Asia, and welcomed Forum attendees to its Hospitality Area.

Five-star Sydney based hoteliers, The Eight Hotels Group, is one of the first to accept iBAHN’s ETVi product in the Australian market in their boutique Sydney Hotel, The Diamant Hotel.

“We are very happy to be partnered with iBAHN/ETV for the in- house interactive entertainment system for our hotels,” said Paul Fischmann, general manager, Diamant Hotel in Sydney, Australia.  “We find both the product and the team behind the product to fit very well with us and we look forward to a continued business relationship with iBAHN/ETV.”

The company also has successfully completed the initiation of integrated digital services, with both guest-facing and hotel management orientations.  Among the services already in place or under contract for near-term installation are IP-TV (Internet-based television), video-on-demand (VoD), automated guest check-in, call center/guest services centers, music on demand, and its first digital signage product for the Asian market.

With iBAHN’s ETVi product, the in-room television becomes an electronic point of sale for services such as restaurant reservations, room service and spa/golf bookings.  The system can be navigated at the touch of a button, in more than 25 languages, creating broad appeal for guests from all over the globe.

“iBAHN is always seeking to raise the level of technology for the hospitality industry and the booming Asia Pacific region has always been an important market in our worldwide strategy,” iBAHN managing director for the Asia-Pacific region, Freddie Lam said.  “As hotels are building scalable IP networks and digital broadcasting becomes increasingly popular, we strongly believe that the market is definitely ready for advanced digital converged solution like ETVi, which can help generate multiple revenue streams, enhance service differentiation and drive guest satisfaction.”
