Industry veteran to lead TourismROI's sales in North America
Wednesday, March 19, 2008

TourismROI LLC, the world’s premier Travel & Tourism online management and investment resource, announced the appointment of industry veteran Jane Baxter Lynn as executive vice president to lead North American sales and global marketing and communications.  She reports directly to Richard Miller, CEO & managing partner of TourismROI.

“Having worked on a global range of public and private sector tourism projects, Jane is uniquely qualified to reach out to destination officials in the USA, Canada and abroad, as well as to the world’s development and investment community, to engage with them on TourismROI’s enormous benefits and potential,” Miller said.  “Jane and I have worked together for many years at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and since.  In particular she played a vital role in establishing WTTC’s very successful marketing and communications program in the early days.  We’re building the world’s first web-based resource dedicated to massive collaboration of B2B and investment information.  Having a proven international tourism communications and marketing expert on board is a great bonus.”

Baxter Lynn has worked in senior communications and marketing positions in South Africa, Europe and, for the past 14 years, in the United States. Her career has included working for Holiday Inn Worldwide (Europe, Middle East & Africa region), the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), HFS Inc. (a leading travel and real estate franchise company), and Budget Rent a Car.

Her extensive experience in brand creation and development has included responsibility for the launch of Green Globe worldwide, the Holiday Inn Garden Court and Wingate Inn hotel brands, and the Washington wine industry’s first brand campaign. As head of her own successful marketing and communications firm, she has provided strategic council to such global companies as Expedia, as well as several NGOs and tourism destinations.

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
