WRTA courses receive Travel Institute accreditation
Thursday, March 20, 2008

The World Religious Travel Association (WRTA) has partnered with The Travel Institute (TTI) to offer the industry’s first educational and business resource package on faith tourism. The two-part course provides travel agents and organizations with the necessary knowledge and tools to tap into the exploding 600 million faith-based vacation market.

“As demand for faith-based travel products and services is at an all-time high, agents have been asking for  educational and business programs which can guide and assist them in developing and selling into the religious market,” said Kevin J. Wright, WRTA President. “Fortunately, the wait is over – organizations and individuals can now access exceptional, cutting-edge religious travel market materials through WRTA and The Travel Institute.”

WRTA and The Travel Institute are offering two programs. The first features an educational focus, while the second provides a “hands-on” application to discovering and tapping into the religious market. The first of the two programs is the Religious Travel Market Educational Course. Covering the “Who, What, Where, Why, Why, and How” of the $18 billion and 300 million traveler religious market, the professionally written course is easy to read and understand – and can be studied or reviewed in any order. Upon completion of the course, individuals can take an assessment exam in order to gain two CEU's through The Travel Institute.

The second program is the Religious Travel Market Business Package. Complete with a religious travel market business plan, press release template, and sample letters (for Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish markets), this innovative course provides agents and professionals with concrete tools and resources for successfully tapping into the religious market. The program is written in an interactive-fashion, enabling any individual to insert their company's information directly into the business plan and accompanying publicity and marketing materials. The Religious Travel Market Business Package is perfectly suited for any agent or organization seeking to enter or expand their presence in faith tourism. Upon completion of the program, individuals can earn four CEU's through The Travel Institute.

How is the use of biofuels by the aviation industry going to affect the environment?

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
