Menzies Aviation announced that terms have been agreed to acquire Novia Sverige AB (Novia), a wholly owned subsidiary of Novia Scandinavia. The acquisition accelerates Menzies expansion in Scandinavia and is complimentary with its existing operations.

Novia is a ground handling business operating in Sweden at Stockholm and Gothenburg airports. It provides full passenger and ramp handling together with de-icing, cleaning and lounge management.

It adds Air France, KLM, Cathay Pacific, Continental, DHL, Malaysia, Turkish, TNT, UPS and Fedex to Menzies existing customer base at Stockholm and at Gothenburg it adds Air France, KLM, Finnair, Malmo Aviation, DHL, TNT, Welcome Air, Iran Air and Sun Air.
