MPI to introduce new Spotme devices at European Meetings and Events Conference
Thursday, April 03, 2008

Participants at the upcoming European Meetings and Events Conference in London 18-20 April 2008 will have a new way to find people in the room. Each participant will receive a Spotme handheld device to use during the conference. For those that have never experienced Spotme, it is a tool that accelerates networking and reinvents communication at the conference. It is part messaging tool, part people finder, part program-at-a-glance, part navigation system, part voting keypad - and a whole lot of fun.

"MPI is thrilled to welcome the New Spotme to The European Meetings and Events Conference in London. Our delegates have always loved Spotme, we are sure that the enhanced features will make it an even greater experience." says Joyce Dogniez, CMM, Director of Operations EMEA of MPI.

Participants can expect the following from their Spotme experience:

  • Quickly identify other participants with the searchable photo database.
  • Use the built-in Radar to remember the names of the people standing nearby.
  • Communicate & exchange ideas by sending messages to other participants.
  • Exchange electronic business cards that automatically load into Outlook or a PDA.
  • Remember conversations and action items by making notes on the Spotme device.
  • Use Built-in Maps of London and the London Tube to navigate the city.
  • Complete session surveys and feedback forms.

The New Spotme was launched in June 2007 at a Nestle Leadership Conference in Europe. Since then, Spotme won the meeting industry's prestigious EIBTM WorldWide Technology Watch Award in November 2007 and has been used at conferences and events all over the world.
