Hahn Air concludes e-ticketing agreement with AeroGal
Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Just 15 months after the implementation of its first Interline E-Ticketing (IET) agreement, Hahn Air completed its 100th IET with AeroGal (2K) from Ecuador. Hahn Air becomes AeroGal’s first and only Interline E-Ticketing partner. This, as seen in numerous similar cases, highlights the importance of Hahn Air’s ability and support for IATA’s 100% E-Ticketing deadline.

In March, Hahn Air ranked 10th in IATA’s top 50 carrier list by implemented IETs and is confident that it will become number one with 180 IET partners by the end of 2008. Hahn Air has linked its Amadeus E-Ticketing Server with all important E-Ticketing database providers which allows Hahn Air to quickly add more carriers to its platform.

Hahn Air generates additional revenue for its airline partners from their secondary markets where the carrier has no BSP/ARC presence of its own. With a single agreement, Hahn Air’s partners get access to almost all BSPs worldwide with 60.000 IATA agencies having access to HR/169 e-tickets.

“We are adding three new carriers on average to our IET platform every week,” says Dorian Deninski, Interline E-Ticketing Project Manager of Hahn Air. “There are many more present partners on our implementation list that will be connected until May 31, 2008, and of course we will continue our implementations with present and new partners also after the E-Ticketing deadline.”

It will be a positive step towards fighting climate change, as the aviation industry will be able to reduce its C02 emissions.

It will be positive for the environment but it will cause huge problems in other industries such as the food industry, especially in food supply.

It will have a negative impact as the widespread planting and use of biofuel crops could threaten the natural ecosystems.

It will harm the environment as carbon savings from biofuels are negligible.
