Visit London launches two new website at IMEX 2008
Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Visit London, the city’s official visitor organisation, is launching two new websites at IMEX. International and German buyers visiting the Visit London stand can experience both the revamped visitlondon.com/business and brand new London Heathrow Gateway website, at first hand, on special touch screens as the organisation said.

Visit London’s Business Marketing Manager, Séverine Ougier, says: “We wanted to ensure planners had the right tools to organise their event in our city - from general destination information and the initial search of venues and services, to a comprehensive and easy-to-use request for proposal process and an enhanced marketing tool kit. Tips on how Visit London can unlock the capital’s amazing event opportunities for planners were the main thought process behind the revamp.”

Visit London’s European Sales Manager, Barbara Jamison, adds: “Our website has been designed to make the first approach and all the following steps involved in the process of planning an event, as inspiring and as stress-free as possible. The touch screens we have at IMEX are the perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate the enhanced facilities of the site to buyers and prospects.”

The key enhancements of the website include:

  • An advanced venue and service search
  • A London events calendar
  • A three-way proposal submitting process
  • Improved supplier listings, including the ability to show videos on partner pages.
  • An enhanced planning toolkit providing planners with downloadable resources such as promotional html banners, videos, PowerPoint templates, pictures and guides.
  • Up-to-the minute news for global event planners
