On behalf of Equity Inns, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ select service division announced the sale of the Holiday Inn in Bluefield, WV to Stafford Hospitality, Inc. “The Holiday Inn presented an excellent investment opportunity for a local owner operator to rejuvenate a hotel that has been a consistent performer for many years.” said Ros Mallory, a vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. “As the most recognizable hotel in the market, the Holiday Inn Bluefield is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the wide variety of both corporate and leisure demand generators which are expanding in the region.”

Radisson Hotels & Resorts announced the hiring of James Riker as the new general manager of one of its marquee properties, the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel Philadelphia located at 1701 Locust Street just off the world-renowned Rittenhouse Square, the city's most prestigious residential, commercial and business district.  Riker brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the position.

Dallas-based Standing Dog Interactive has signed an agreement with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide to provide the hospitality company with ReviewAnalyst, an online dashboard for tracking consumer-generated hotel reviews, videos and images on popular travel and social sites. According to a hospitality industry study, online hotel reviews are estimated to affect as many as 87 percent of travel site visitors’ buying decisions, with 90 percent of these reviews found accurate by customers. With reviews playing a greater role in online bookings, ReviewAnalyst is vital in giving hotel properties the ability to easily track, analyze and react to online reviews.
