Eastern Airways to offer mediterranean charters from Norwich
Monday, May 05, 2008

UK regional airline, Eastern Airways has teamed up with Holiday Options to provide summer charter flights from Norwich International Airport to Croatia and Sardinia. For a third year, specialist tour operator, Holiday Options, will provide the package holidays as Eastern Airways flies holidaymakers from Norwich to Dubrovnik in Croatia and Alghero in Sardinia.

The weekly Norwich charter flights start from Sunday 4 May 2008 to Dubrovnik and Saturday 10 May to Alghero.

Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways’ chief operating officer, said: “We’re pleased to be working with Holiday Options and providing their customers with summer charter flights to two exciting destinations.  We look forward to welcoming on board repeat holidaymakers from Norwich and are sure these destinations will also appeal to those looking for a new and different off-the-beaten-track holiday.”

Holiday Options managing director, Hamish Manson, said: “Our luxury holidays to Croatia and Sardinia proved very popular from Norwich last year and we’re delighted to offer another holiday programme from the region with Eastern Airways providing weekly flights.  We have been impressed by the punctuality and standard of in-flight service Eastern Airways has provided for our customers over the last two years – very much in keeping with the quality of the holidays we sell.”

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
