Expedia names Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal best hotel in Hungary
Tuesday, May 13, 2008

The five-star, award-winning Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, Hungary has just won another coveted award. When Expedia, the internet-based travel agency, unveiled its Insiders' Select” list of the world's best hotels, the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal featured as the Best Hotel in Hungary.

This is Expedia’s 2nd Annual Insiders' Select List of the world's best hotels. The winners are culled from among a selection of nearly 80,000 properties worldwide handled by Expedia.

“Expedia has captured the experiences of millions of hotel guests, and combined them with a value rating that makes it easier for travelers to sort through thousands of hotel options and to choose the best hotel for their trip,” states Paul Brown, president, Expedia North America. “The ‘Insiders Select List’ includes only the top 1% of all of Expedia’s hotels and resorts.”

Poll
The imminent privatization of Olympic Airlines is expected to change the fate of this debt-laden airline. What do you think the new owner should do in regard to the brand name of the Greek national flag carrier?.

Keep “Olympic Airlines” as the name of the company as it remains a strong brand.

The company should keep “Olympic” as an element of its name but refresh the brand (e.g. “New Olympic Airlines”).

The airline should drop “Olympic” from its name. This brand has lost its value and isn’t relevant to the market anymore.
