China Airlines plans to launch Palau charter flights
Monday, May 26, 2008

China Airlines plans to inaugurate direct charter flights to Palau beginning on May 31, and continuing until August 31, 2008, in response to the growing tourism market and overall passenger demand. A Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be used for the new Taipei-Palau passenger service, offering single-class cabin service. CAL will provide six to seven flights per month, during the summer.

CAL made the application for the first Taipei-Palau charter flight to the Civil Aeronautics Administration, which allows Mr. Tommy E. Remengesau, the President of the Republic of Palau, to fly home directly after he attended the presidential inauguration of Ma Ying-jeou in Taiwan.
