Virgin Atlantic launches new flying without fear book
Friday, June 13, 2008
Virgin Atlantic Airways announced that following the success of its Flying Without Fear (FWF) course the FWF team have brought out a book called – “101 of your questions answered”.  The book contains answers to 101 questions about flying, valuable information from a cabin crew safety trainer, top tips from aviation experts and psychological tools to help people combat their fear of flying.

The book is available to buy on Amazon – www.amazon.co.uk and the website shop on www.flyingwithoutfear.info.  The book is packed with qualified answers to genuine questions that are posted on the Flying Without Fear website message board and from the thousands of people that have been helped on the courses over the ten years it has been running.

Sir Richard Branson, President of Virgin Atlantic, said: “It is great news that we can offer members of the public the benefits of advice from a wonderful team of experts who run the hugely successful Flying Without Fear course, with a book on how to cope with their fear.  More people than ever can now reap the rewards that the course and book offers those who have a fear of flying.

“Even though I don’t have a fear of flying - I will be making sure that there is a copy of the book on my bookshelf!”

Richard Conway, Director of Flying Without Fear Limited said: "People have been asking us for many years when we're going to write a book to help those who can't attend our courses.  Many people who need our help live abroad and without being able to fly over to us, can't visit for the help that they need in order to overcome their fears of flying - with our brand new book, we'll be able to 'virtually' go to them."

Virgin Atlantic, in association with Flying Without Fear Limited, offers one-day courses throughout the year, aimed at teaching sufferers how to overcome their fear.  The course includes an optional 45-minute flight at the end of the session.

Courses are available at London Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Luton, Newcastle, Southampton, Leeds-Bradford, Bournemouth, Edinburgh & Glasgow.

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
