QHotels appoints new Group Food & Beverage Manager

As part of the group’s strategy to focus on delivering first class bespoke ‘One of a Kind’ food and beverage offerings for its guests, Australian born Marcus, joined the QHotels group on 1st August following a series of consecutive positions which include hotel operations and F&B management at a number of high profile, four star, international hotel and restaurant groups.

Vivien Sirotkin, Operations Director at QHotels, said: “Marcus will be a strong addition to our management team adding new focus, ideas, strategy and development to our hotel teams.

“Responsible for sourcing more bespoke offerings in each of the hotels, Marcus will ensure the quality of food and beverage across the 21-strong property group enhances and adds to the guests’ experience; initially focusing on improving our breakfast offering, sourcing more local produce, enhancing Lounge products and expanding our cocktail and beer menus.” concludes Sirotkin.

How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
