Tuesday, August 26, 2008
Asia-Pacific based global travel management consultancy, FCm Travel Solutions, has expanded its Greater China sales team by almost 300 per cent following a series of senior appointments.

Michael Hong has been appointed as the company’s new General Manager of Sales for Greater China.

Michael brings to the role more than 10 years’ industry experience and a Bachelor of Tourism Management degree from Fu Dan University in Shanghai. Previously he held positions including Director of Sales with HRS China, Hotelzon China and 4Oceans, as well as account management roles with various global travel management companies.

Based in Shanghai, Michael is supported by a regional business development team operating across FCm’s Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong offices.

Recent appointments to the expanded team include Echo Yan and Cathy Liu as FCm’s Business Development Team Leaders in Shanghai and Beijing respectively.

Bill Shi and Julia Li have been appointed as Business Development Managers for Shanghai, while Villie Pong and Stanley Hau have been appointed as Business Development Managers based in Hong Kong.

“Over the past six months the team has grown from 5 to 14 people, representing an increase of almost 300%,” said FCm’s General Manager Greater China, David Fraser.

“We have boosted our sales team as part of our strategic plan for the region, and we are moving quickly to continue aggressive local expansion and business growth.

“Michael’s team will be active in the local travel and corporate sectors to further raise our profile, build relationships with potential clients, and drive new business in Hong Kong and Greater China by acquiring new SME corporate accounts,” David said.

“The team will also continue to work closely across the region to service FCm’s existing accounts in Greater China.”
