Hotel Association of Canada partners with Yellow Pages Group
Thursday, August 28, 2008
The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) announced a strategic partnership with Yellow Pages Group, Canada's leading local commercial search provider. Providing hotel members across the country with a number of dedicated services including traditional directories, on-line/HTML directories, advertising opportunities and recycling services, Yellow Pages Group can meet the need of hotels of any size. Research shows that travellers tend to be heavy Yellow Pages™ directory users given the valuable information they provide, including maps, transit information, coupons, restaurant guides and more.

In line with the Hotel Association of Canada’s Green Key ECO-Rating program, Yellow Pages Group offers specific environmental programs designed specifically for the hotel industry. It notably includes floor to floor Yellow Pages™ directory delivery as well as complimentary recycling of all directories from hotels with more than 100 rooms in large urban markets.

“The Yellow Pages Group brings to our membership the combined power of quality products, quality service and an understanding of the both the industry’s and the guests’ needs,” stated Tony Pollard, HAC President. “We are pleased to be able to partner with such a reputable group.”

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
