Eastern Airways nominated for best domestic airline award
Wednesday, September 10, 2008
Eastern Airways, has been nominated for a prestigious travel industry award in the category “Best UK domestic airline for business”. The Buying Business Travel Diamond Awards 2009 are one of the most valued and respected of travel accolades, representing the views of the industry’s most important customers. This includes company travel buyers, arrangers and travel agents that secure the best service from suppliers.

Flying from 18 UK and European airports, the airline is renowned for providing schedules, timings and fast track airport security channels tailored for the business community.

This latest nomination was selected by a panel of business travel journalists and follows the recent news that Eastern Airways is rated the UK’s most punctual scheduled airline*.

“To be short-listed for the best domestic business airline award is a tremendous achievement in itself,” said Rob Thompson, Eastern Airways’ commercial director. “This nomination is a great testament to the outstanding efforts of our teams on the ground and in the air and demonstrates that our high quality domestic services meet the needs of business travellers.”

Poll
How do you expect luxury travel to perform in times of economic downturn?.

Providers of luxury travel products are going to witness shorter stays by their customers and an increase in seasonality.

People are going to become more value conscious and will opt for those luxury offers that represent a convincing value-for-money proposition. Providers of overpriced services are those to feel the pinch.

Both people paying for their personal trips and firms paying for their top executives' business trips will cut back on travel expenses, thus affecting all luxury travel providers.

It is going to be business as usual. Those people opting for high-end travel products are not going to be affected by the looming crisis.
