“Simon has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and is an asset to IHG’s growth in the region,” said John Bamsey, Chief Operating Officer, InterContinental Hotels Group. “Under his leadership IHG has witnessed fantastic results for InterContinental Abu Dhabi following the recent renovation and we are confident we will see similar results for InterContinental Al Ain.”

“Abu Dhabi and Al Ain are rapidly developing tourist destinations and I look forward to the new challenges ahead,” Stamper said.

Previously General Manager at the largest Holiday Inn in EMEA, the 906-room Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum, Stamper has over 25 years of experience in hotel management.

Stamper has held further General Manager positions at both Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn London Heathrow, as well as managerial roles at Athenaeum InterContinental Athens and Semiramis InterContinental Cairo.
