Pilots association in Mexico inks new deal with Aeromexico
Wednesday, October 08, 2008
ASPA, the Mexican Airline Pilots Association, has agreed the following with Aeromexico, the IFALPA Daily News has reported.

According to IFALPA, there will be a salary increase of the rate of inflation plus one percent for the next three years.

“Commencing October 2009 ‘per diem’ payments will revert to the same level they were before the ‘bargain agreement’ signed with the airline’s new owners,” IFALPA added.

It added that the negotiations will continue for the next three months regarding productivity on long haul routes. “The talks will be focused to ensure that safety and the pilots quality of life are not compromised.”

According to IFALPA, it was also agreed that Aeromexico Travel, the charter wing, will not operate long haul routes or wide-bodied aircraft and AM Connect will not operate aircraft that have a larger than 99 seat capacity.

IFALPA is a non-political, non-profit making organisation which represents over 100,000 airline pilots represented by over 100 Member Associations from around the world.
