Best Air operates four weekly flights between Singapore and Dhaka (Bangladesh)
Singapore Changi Airport welcomes Best Air
Monday, October 27, 2008
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) held a ceremony today to officially welcome Best Air, an airline from Bangladesh, to operate at Singapore Changi Airport. Best Air, which commenced operations on 20 October 2008 at Terminal 1, operates four weekly scheduled flights every Monday and Friday between Singapore and Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. Best Air, which joins Biman Bangladesh and Singapore Airlines in offering flights between Singapore and Dhaka, brings the total number of weekly passenger flights on this sector to 26.

CAAS’ Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Lim Kim Choon said, “Best Air comes at an opportune time where we see a steady growth of passenger movements between Bangladesh and Singapore. In the first eight months of 2008, we have seen a growth of 4% compared with the same period in 2007. With the addition of Best Air, travellers will also have more choices of airlines and flights to choose from.”

Best Air is the fourth airline to start operations at Changi Airport this year, after Air Asia, TNT Airways and Air Asia Indonesia. With the addition of Best Air, Changi Airport is currently served by 81 scheduled airlines, operating over 4,400 weekly scheduled flights to 191 cities in 61 countries.
