Ramada brand raises flag on first property in Israel

Ramada Worldwide announced that the 370-room hotel located at Ruppin Bridge, Herzl Boulevard in Jerusalem will now feature the Ramada brand name, making the hotel the brand’s first property in Israel.

The hotel is located near the entrance of Israel’s capital city, within walking distance of the Knisset and Israel’s government complex. The property features a selection of glatt kosher restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, a tennis court, sauna, fitness center and meeting space capable of accommodating up to 1,700 guests. A complimentary shuttle provides access to Old City Jerusalem six days a week. “We’re excited to be joining the Ramada family and look forward to sharing with our guests the comforts and amenities they have come to know and expect from the Ramada brand,” said Harvey Douglen, a epresentative for the hotel. “Situated in a prime location in Jerusalem’s busy tourism market, the hotel plays an important role in our expansion throughout the Middle East,” said Sean Worker, Wyndham Hotel Group senior vice president and managing director, international operations. “We are keen to have a presence in major markets throughout the region.”

Currently, Wyndham Hotel Group has 25 properties open in the Middle East, 12 of which opened in the past year. Of the open properties, 19 are a part of the Ramada brand.
