Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced that it will manage a new resort at the stunning Qingshui Bay in Sanya, China’s rapidly growing premier resort destination. Raffles Sanya, Qingshui Bay, featuring 250 guestrooms, will enjoy a beach-front location and offer residents direct access to an adjacent championship golf course. The resort will be developed by Hong Kong-listed Agile Property Holdings Ltd, the leading developer in China’s fast growing Pearl River Delta region, and funds managed by global financial services firm Morgan Stanley. Panorama Hospitality, Morgan Stanley’s hotel asset management, advisory and operating organization, advised Agile and Morgan Stanley on this transaction.

Raffles Sanya will be distinguished by the luxury of space and its commanding views of the bay. All rooms are generously sized at 70 square metres, and are laid out in a stepped configuration to ensure that all residents have a view of the clear waters that Qingshui Bay is renowned for.

Residents seeking an extra aura of exclusivity can look forward to 36 luxurious villas that offer striking vistas of either the ocean or the golf course. When it comes to dining and entertainment, residents at Raffles Sanya will have seven restaurants and bars to choose from, including a Chinese restaurant, all-day dining restaurant, pastry cafe, pool bar and grill, lobby lounge and a bar where residents will be able to enjoy the famous Singapore Sling which originated from the group’s flagship
Raffles Hotel, Singapore.

Residents seeking a rejuvenating wellness experience at Raffles Sanya can look forward to RafflesAmrita Spa’s legendary assurance of renewal. RafflesAmrita Spa is a signature component of all Raffles hotels and resorts around the world, with the spa at Raffles Hotel Singapore and Raffles Canouan in The Grenadines acknowledged as leadings spas in their respective destinations by publications such as Conde Nast Traveller and The Robb Report. Raffles Sanya will feature a spacious RafflesAmrita Spa at over 2,000 square metres.

Raffles Sanya is also well suited for meetings, incentives and Raffles Romance weddings with a 720 square metre ballroom, four meeting rooms and a wedding chapel. A courtyard offers an outdoor alternative for special events and celebrations. Golf enthusiasts will be delighted with the championship golf course located within close proximity of Raffles Sanya. A marina, water sport hubs and a retail village nearby add to the extensive range of leisure options available to residents.

Chen Zhou Lin, Chairman, Agile Property Holdings Ltd said, "Raffles is renowned for its ability to deliver the highest standards of service and hospitality. The brand has also gained significant recognition within China following the success of Raffles Beijing Hotel, and we are delighted to introduce the legendary Raffles experience to Sanya." Diana Ee-Tan, President, Raffles Hotels & Resorts added, "Sanya enjoys robust growth, at a compound annual growth rate of 20% per annum in international visitor arrivals, since 2001. It is well on its way to becoming a highly-sought after destination and Raffles is thrilled to be part of this dynamic landscape."
