Air Traffic Control Association appoints Robert Coulson to board of directors Robert T. Coulson, senior executive account manager for Department of Transportation programs at Harris Corporation, has been named to the Air Traffic Control Association's (ATCA) board of directors for 2009, representing the southeastern region. Coulson is one of nine, newly-elected board members who will begin their terms in November. ATCA has been the premier global organization dedicated to the advancement of the science and profession of air traffic control for over 50 years. ATCA is a professional organization with national and global influence that supports progress in air traffic control, air traffic management, aviation and aeronautical sciences, and policy development. Coulson has worked closely with the air traffic control community for the past 20 years and has been an active member of ATCA. In his new director role, he will work with Peter Challan, Harris vice president of government relations, who is currently chairman-elect of the ATCA board. With Harris since 1994, Coulson has served in a variety of business development and program, management positions directly related to Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS), as well as Air Traffic Management (ATM). Prior to joining Harris, Coulson spent nine years with the Martin Marietta Corporation as program manager and senior staff engineer in assignments in air traffic control support and communications. Before entering civilian industry, Coulson spent 22 years as a commissioned officer in the US Army Signal Corps. His military decorations include the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star Medal.

Great Wolf Resorts announces new CEO Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. announced that Kim Schaefer, currently the company's president and chief operating officer, will become chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2009. Randy Churchey, who has served as the company's interim chief executive officer since May 2008, will resign from that position on January 1, 2009 and remain as a director on the company's board. In her new role, Schaefer's responsibilities will include providing strategic direction to the company's development team, including licensing arrangements and joint ventures as an effective use of equity capital as the company seeks to expand the geographic reach of its brand, both domestically and internationally. Most recently, she oversaw the expansion of the breadth of amenities and the addition of conference centers at several of the company's resorts, which resulted in significant occupancy gains this year.
