Chosen by the Hotel und Restaurant Guide 2009
The Westin Leipzig one of the Top 10 of Germany's best business hotels
Thursday, December 04, 2008
The Westin Leipzig is in business hotels 2008 Top Ten, chosen by the Hotel und Restaurant Guide 2009, a publication by the famous gourmet-magazine "Der Feinschmecker".

The Leipzig luxury hotel keeps heading for success. Just recently its gourmet restaurant FALCO was chosen by the well known city guide Marcellino's Restaurant Report to be the best restaurant in Leipzig in luxury class and the restaurant SEASONS to be the second best premium restaurant in town. Right after that the restaurant FALCO was decorated by the renowned Michelin Guide 2009 with the second star.

After these three awards for the Westin Leipzig restaurants there is another announcement: 8th place of the best business hotels in Germany. Once a year the international gourmet magazine "Der Feinschmecker" judges business hotels. This year the judges visited the Westin Leipzig for the first time and straightaway the hotel came in eighth. General Manager Andreas Hachmeister is very proud of his staff and its ambitious efforts. He also liked that it was mentioned by the editors that "The Westin Leipzig comes up to the claims of business guests and has an excellent cuisine".

In first place of the ranking is undisputedly Hotel InterContinental in Berlin. It is followed by Hilton and InterContinental in Frankfurt/Main. The Westin Grand Arabellapark in Munich ranks number four. The Feinschmecker Guide 2009 was published in October 2008.

Poll
The imminent privatization of Olympic Airlines is expected to change the fate of this debt-laden airline. What do you think the new owner should do in regard to the brand name of the Greek national flag carrier?.

Keep “Olympic Airlines” as the name of the company as it remains a strong brand.

The company should keep “Olympic” as an element of its name but refresh the brand (e.g. “New Olympic Airlines”).

The airline should drop “Olympic” from its name. This brand has lost its value and isn’t relevant to the market anymore.
