Norwegian expands with 12 new routes in Denmark

Norwegian opened its Danish base a month ago and will now expand further with additional 12 new routes. With this expansion Norwegian will become the largest low cost carrier in Denmark operating 18 routes out of Denmark. “The first routes have been very well received and we are pleased to open 12 additional routes next year. We are looking forward to fly Danish passengers on holiday in 2009”, says CEO in Norwegian Bjorn Kjos.

Norwegian established a new base in Copenhagen 29th of October and operates today six routes, whereof one domestic in Denmark.  The new routes from Copenhagen will start from late March 2009 to Amsterdam, Budapest, Edinburgh, Faro, Heraklion, Krakow, Paris/Orly, Palma de Mallorca, Prague, Pisa and Split. Norwegian also plans to open routes from Copenhagen to Barcelona, Rome and London and also Aalborg to London. In connection with the expansion Norwegian will be placing six new Boeing 737-800 at its base in Copenhagen.
