US Airways customers will once again have access to Paris' Charles De Gaulle airport through the airline's largest hub at Charlotte, North Carolina. The airline is set to provide daily seasonal service between The Queen City and The City of Light beginning April 21, 2009.

US Airways currently serves London's Gatwick Airport and Frankfurt International Airport from its Charlotte hub and also codeshares with Lufthansa on Munich service from Charlotte. This nonstop service will be operated with Boeing 767 aircraft with seating for 18 in Envoy class and 186 in the main cabin.

US Airways Chairman and CEO Doug Parker said, "We are thrilled to announce that Charlotte will once again have a third trans-Atlantic option on US Airways. With Charlotte-Paris service, our 2009 trans-Atlantic operation will number 27 daily flights serving 23 destinations. Today's announcement comes as a result of strong partnership from Charlotte Mayor Patrick McCrory and Charlotte Director of Aviation Jerry Orr. We thank Pat and Jerry for their continued support."

US Airways, along with US Airways Shuttle and US Airways Express, operates approximately 3,200 flights per day and serves 200 communities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. The airline employs more than 34,000 aviation professionals worldwide and is a member of the Star Alliance network, which offers our customers 18,000 daily flights to 965 destinations in 162 countries worldwide. In the first eight months of 2008, US Airways ranked first in on-time performance among the ten largest U.S. carriers according to the Department of Transportation's Air Travel Consumer Report. And for the tenth consecutive year, the airline received a Diamond Award for maintenance training excellence from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Charlotte, North Carolina, hub line maintenance facility.
