Official pavilions plan for expanding their participation in the next expo
ITE & ITE MICE 2009 next expo looks set for double digits expansion
Friday, December 05, 2008
Expansions by past exhibitors with the largest increase at 300%. New official pavilions some of which planning for substantial sizes! Holding theme pavilions including a new one, and putting all parts of ITE & ITE MICE in one floor. Such developments especially the positive responses from exhibitors, old and new, likely result a double digits expansion of the next ITE & ITE MICE.

The newly expanded halls 1 of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center, where the next ITE & ITE MICE will be held, has a combined space of around 20,000 sqm and is about 30% bigger than the travel expo last year.

Past exhibitors, especially the official pavilions, have either confirmed or planning for expanding their participation in the next travel expo. For example, Japan which was the second largest pavilion in 2008, has reserved 40% more stands; South Africa will double while the Yemen will more than triple the space taken.

An European country, joining our Travel Expo for the first time, reserved 200 sqm. In addition, two other new official pavilions with comparable scales, one from the Americas and one from Europe, have been in serious discussions and several others are also being expected. Besides holding again the popular Hong Kong Travel Agents Zone and the Cruise Education Corner, a new theme pavilion on Health & Medical Tourism will be held. It is expected that medical tourism will generate in Asia a total income of US$4.4 billion by 2012, so launching of the Pavilion is timely.

"Our next expo will likely have more new pavilions, new exhibitors and new products! Further, the new arrangement of having all parts in one floor will greatly facilitate visitors and exhibitors too", said KS Tong, Managing Director of TKS which organizes ITE & ITE MICE.
