Extensive refurbishment
Novotel London West sets out plans to be one of Europe's leading conference & convention hotels
Monday, December 08, 2008
Novotel London West has announced extensive refurbishment plans which are designed to position the hotel as one of Europe’s leading Conference and Convention Hotels. General Manager, Michael Sloan, unveiled the plans at a Press Briefing at EIBTM in Barcelona. “When I came to Novotel London West in April 2007, the hotel was already a successful venue for corporate accommodation and events of all sizes. However, we were all aware that the hotel had more potential and with our forthcoming investment we will strengthen our position as a top European venue.”

“This work has been more than 12 months in the planning and follows extensive research and consultation with clients. The plans have been finalised and we already have all of the visuals but full details and timelines will be revealed before International Confex in February 2009.”

Novotel London West has already begun the work to upgrade the ground floor of the building, in particular the group and conference arrival desks to ensure that those areas reflect the quality of the rest of the hotel. Attention will then turn to the hotels Food & Beverage outlets. The existing restaurant will receive a full refurbishment and the addition of a second restaurant will provide an alternative dining experience to that of the renowned international buffet. The existing Lounge Bar will then also receive sizeable investment and will be joined by a new Cocktail Bar.

The hotel’s Chablis Suite will also be totally re-designed with the addition of floating sound-proof walls. This room will then be equally well adapted to host conferences and events for two to 500 delegates, as well as exhibitions and receptions for 1000 people. The final phase of the work will be the upgrading of the hotel’s exterior including the cladding and signage.
