The hotel is scheduled for completion in early 2009
Group West designing Twin Pine Casino/Hotel
Thursday, January 08, 2009
Group West Companies PLLC of Seattle is providing master planning, architecture and interior design services for the new Twin Pine Casino/Hotel in Middletown, California. The project consists of 100,000 square-foot state-of-the-art casino and 60 room hotel (Phase 1), creating an important travel destination for Middletown. Because of its location between Calistoga and Clearlake, Middletown is considered the northern gateway to Napa Valley.

The casino's interior is being designed in a wine-country theme reflective of its proximity to the Napa Valley. Project amenities will include a gift shop, wine tasting patio, steakhouse and lounge. The casino will be encircled by an equally large and well-appointed 60-room hotel designed in a mountain-lodge theme. All guest rooms will offer beautifully serene views of surrounding wine vineyards.

The casino is open and the hotel is scheduled for completion in early 2009. Phase 2 will include a casino expansion, additional hotel rooms, a major entertainment venue and parking structure. Group West is a nationally recognized design firm offering comprehensive architectural, master planning, interior design / space-planning services to the hospitality and spa industries.

The imminent privatization of Olympic Airlines is expected to change the fate of this debt-laden airline. What do you think the new owner should do in regard to the brand name of the Greek national flag carrier?.

Keep “Olympic Airlines” as the name of the company as it remains a strong brand.

The company should keep “Olympic” as an element of its name but refresh the brand (e.g. “New Olympic Airlines”).

The airline should drop “Olympic” from its name. This brand has lost its value and isn’t relevant to the market anymore.
