Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Beachcomber Hotels reaffirms its leadership on Mauritius Island with the construction of its ninth hotel and will present in FITUR all the details of the establishment, as well as the reopening of the Sainte Anne Resort & Spa, in Seychelles, and its projects on the island of Praslin and Morocco. Beachcomber Hotels attends FITUR/09 with new projects with the construction of its ninth hotel on Mauritius Island, in Riviere Noire, an area that brings together three natural characteristics: abundant space, direct access to the sea and a western orientation. Built on a surface space of more than 2,000 m2, the future Dominios de Armonia 5* hotel will offer 220 luxury individual villas between 400 and 600 m2.

The complex will have an 18-hole golf course and for this, the Beachcomber group has acquired more than 160 hectares of land for 40 million Euros and all the shares of Les Salines Development Limited, Owner Company of the other part of the land on which the new hotel will be built, project by the Mauritian architect, Jean-Francois Adam.

The professionals of FITUR’09 will also get to know the rest of the chain’s hotel offering on Mauritius Island: the 5* Luxury Royal Palm Hotel, member of the brand The Leading Hotels of The World; Shandrani, the first 5* resort with all-inclusive packages; Dinarobin and Paradis, both 5*, on the Peninsula of Le Morne and other establishments like Le Victoria, Le Cannonier, Le Mauricia and Trou Aux Biches.

The Beachcomber stand will also offer information on the Sainte Anne Resort & Spa, in the Seychelles, that just reopened its doors after an intense remodeling process. Also, the group will inaugurate a new 5* on the island of Praslin to segment its offer in the archipelago and position itself in the market of wedding and honeymoons and, outside the Indian Ocean, in Morocco, it forecasts the construction of the Royal Palm Marrakech.

The imminent privatization of Olympic Airlines is expected to change the fate of this debt-laden airline. What do you think the new owner should do in regard to the brand name of the Greek national flag carrier?.

Keep “Olympic Airlines” as the name of the company as it remains a strong brand.

The company should keep “Olympic” as an element of its name but refresh the brand (e.g. “New Olympic Airlines”).

The airline should drop “Olympic” from its name. This brand has lost its value and isn’t relevant to the market anymore.
