The unveiling of a rooftop swimming pool terrace
Hilton Singapore offers travellers a scenic vista of the city's shopping boulevard
Monday, February 02, 2009
Travellers to Singapore now have a new vantage point to take in scenic views of the Lion City’s main shopping and dining boulevard at Hilton Singapore’s newly revamped rooftop swimming pool terrace on Level 24. Perched on the hotel’s highest floor, the relaxing environment of the rooftop terrace offers hotel’s guests the opportunity to rejuvenate themselves with a leisurely swim or a refreshing cocktail in hand.

This refurbishment further contributes to the contemporary lifestyle experience the hotel is dedicated to offering to all its business and leisure guests through a major two-year transformation plan.

Designed with a resort appeal, the all-new rooftop terrace is awash with calming hues of beige and brown from wood and marble materials. In addition, copious green foliage and an architecturally designed water feature create a peaceful sanctuary far above the city’s buzz.

“At Hilton Singapore we are committed to continually enhancing our guests’ experience and have recently completed the renovation of all our guestrooms and key MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) facilities.  Now with our new swimming pool we can also offer our guests a little oasis right here in the heart of the city, helping them rejuvenate and get back on their feet after a busy day of travel, shopping or meetings.” said General Manager, Mr. Alain Mahillon.

Adults can choose to relax on the new chaise longues or do brisk laps in the 12 metre-long and 0.6 to 3 metre-deep swimming pool. In addition, the adjoining children’s pool allows kids to play splash under the supervision of their guardians.

Hilton Singapore will be unveiling more refurbishments such as a renewed Presidential Suite in 2009. Over the last two years, the hotel has completed major makeovers at its 587m2 Grand Ballroom, 349m2 Panorama, Level 5 meeting rooms and all of its 422 guestrooms and suites.
